The Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC) is excited to share some meaningful news as we head into the new year.
We were proud to open the Opioid Recovery & Care Access (ORCA) Center last September, and we’ve since received additional funding that allows us to extend and strengthen this work beyond our walls. In the year ahead, we’ll be expanding our ORCA Patient Outreach Division (POD) program to meet people wherever they are and to strengthen continuity of care.
Several new positions have been posted, including:

- Provider Supervisor overseeing all ORCA providers
- Peer Supervisor overseeing all ORCA peers

- Operations Manager
- One full-time provider
- Four outreach RNs
